The Classical Music Festival and Summer Academy has been in existence since 1975, founded by Don V Moses, a former Director of the School of Music at the University of Illinois. Dr. Moses directed the festival for the first 25 years of its existence followed by Dr. Michael Lamkin, and since 2008, by Dr. Richard Zielinski, a former student of Don V Moses.

On March 12, 2025, Dr. Moses passed away at the age of 88. Your donation will help his important legacy continue by helping fund a scholarship in his honor
that offers financial assistance through work study scholarships for talented student musicians with a financial need. This year in 2025, the festival is celebrating its 50th year in Eisenstadt -- a testament to his impact creating a summer festival and academy that has introduced generations of students, faculty and professional musicians worldwide to Eisenstadt --the city of Joseph Haydn --- and an increased understanding of the performance practice of music from the classical period.
